Thomas A. Cumbo, MD is a board certified practicing infectious diseases (ID) physician with 20 years of clinical medicine experience. He is well-versed in inpatient and outpatient ID cases, antibiotic stewardship, pharmacokinetics, international infectious disease and travel medicine.
Dr. Cumbo has over a decade of experience in hospital and medical administration. He serves as the chief medical officer at a full-service, Joint Commission accredited hospital in upstate New York. He has a master's degree in Healthcare Leadership and Management from the University of Texas at Dallas and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine. Dr. Cumbo's research has taken him to disparate geographical sites including Nepal and Peru. He is well-published.
